Abstract

PURPOSE:To acquire a rapid response solenoid by providing air vent heat emitting holes through the space between an armature and a base. CONSTITUTION:An armature 4 is combined with a conical base 2 having a proper space 41. A specified number of air vent heat emitting holes 10 are provided through the space to either the armature 4 or the conical base 2, or the both of them corresponding to the suction force and the running speed of the solenoid in the sliding direction of a shaft 42. According to this constitution, the air compressed in the space 41 at adsorption is emitted outside through the air vent heat emitting holes 10 and sucked rapidly without air damping. Moreover, at suction release, the air flowing to the space 41 through the holes 10 eliminates the vacuum condition resulting in no return time delay and rapid response. Furthermore, since suction and return operation passes the air outside through holes 10 and the cooling effect is increased thereby, sliding deterioration due to the thermal expansion of a bush 23 of the base 2 and the shaft 42 is eliminated.
