Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in tensile strength, bending strength, heat resistance and low-temperature impact resistance, by mixing a PE resin with a PP resin, a specified modified PP and a glass fiber. CONSTITUTION:A modified PP (C) is obtained by modifying a PP resin (a) obtained from propylene and, optionally, other alpha-olefins and having an MI (230 deg.C, 2.16kg) of 0.1-50g/10min with 0.05-10wt.%, based on component (a), unsaturated carboxylic acid (derivative) (b). A mixture comprising 100pts.wt. PE resin (A) of an MI (190 deg.C, 2.16kg) of 0.1-100g/10min, 5-50pts.wt. unmodified PP resin (B) which is preferably a propylene/ethylene block copolymer having an MFR of 0.1-100g/10min and obtained from propylene and, optionally, other alpha-olefins, and 1-40pts.wt. component (C) is further blended with 3-40wt.% glass fiber (D) which is a roving or chopped strand treated with a silane coupling agent.
