Abstract
PURPOSE:To constitute a second higher harmonic display of a light emission type like a cathode ray type and electroluminescence so that operations for adjusting an incident angle, controlling temp., etc., are omitted and production is facilitated by using aminonitrophenol powder as a nonlinear optical material to be packed in said display. CONSTITUTION:The nonlinear optical material 2 which generates second higher harmonics by incidence of laser light is packed between two sheets of substrates 1, 1' of the second higher harmonic display, either or both of which substrates are transparent. A spacer 3 is disposed between the upper and lower substrates. The aminonitrophenol powder is used for this nonlinear optical material 2. The second higher harmonics are generated from the laser light by the display and the display is constituted in the same type as the type of the cathode ray tube and electroluminescence. The operations for adjusting the incidence, controlling the temp., etc., are thus omitted and the production of the second higher harmonic display is facilitated.
