Abstract
PURPOSE:To conduct high-efficient eel cultivation with improved eel growth in increased energy efficiency, by cultivating eels under such conditions as the cultivation house is covered with a material which screens the light of specific wavelength and has different transmittance in a specific wavelength zone. CONSTITUTION:When eels are cultured by a usual house type cultivation method, the cultivation is conducted under a cover such as synthetic resin film or plate which substantially intercepts the light of less than 460nm wavelength and has less than 0.9 transmission ratio of the light at 530nm to that at 630nm, and preferably the transmission at 530nm is over 60%.
