Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When an exciter for a synchronous generator is switched from automatic operation to manual operation, an excitation control circuit switching relay 43-90Y is unexcited. Since a switch 41A for an automatic voltage regulator is closed at this time, an automatic voltage regulator AVR gate block relay is excited to provide a gate block signal to AVR and a thyristor rectifier 11 for AVR is turned OFF. Upon throw-in of a manual voltage regulation switch 41M, the automatic voltage regulation switch 41A is opened and a thyristor rectifier 12 for manual voltage regulation is turned ON. Consequently, AVR gate block relay is unexcited and the thyristor rectifier 11 for AVR is turned ON.
