Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate such problems as the limit of a service life of a card body and its mounting surface, by supplying the power from the outside so that the power and a data can be obtained simultaneously from a single coil. CONSTITUTION:In an external device, a modulated wave loaded with a data is supplied to a coil of L1, an induction electromagnetic field is formed by a current flowing through this L1, and at a collating device side, this induction electromagnetic field is received by a coil of L2, and these power and information are obtained. In order to obtain the power at the collating device side, an AC voltage induced in the L2 coil by the induction electromagnetic field is sent to a rectifying circuit and rectified, and this rectified wave is smoothed, and supplied as a DC current to each circuit of the inside of the collating device. A data which the collating device receives from the external device is obtained by detecting a voltage induced in the coil L2. In such a way, it does not occur that a service life of a card is shortened due to a service life of a battery, and it becomes unnecessary to bury two coils for supplying the power and for transmitting a data, into the inside of the card.
