PURPOSE:To prevent defective desilvering and the conversion of a cyan dye into a leuco-body by specifying the pH of a bleach-fix bath for processing a photosensitive material contg. a specified cyan coupler and a specified compd. in the photosensitive layer on the support. CONSTITUTION:A phenol type cyan coupler represented by formula I (where R1 is an aliphat. or arom. group, R2 is H or an aliphat. group, X is H or halogen and Z is H) and a compd. represented by formula II or III (where R3 is H or an aliphat. group, each of R4-R8 is H or a substituent, R9 is H, A is a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form a 5-6-membered ring and each of R10-R13 is H) are incorporated into a photosensitive layer on a support to form a photosensitive material. The pH of a bleach-fix bath for processing the photosensitive material is adjusted to 3.5-6.5. In case of >6.5 pH, desilverability is deteriorated. In case of <3.5 pH, the conversion of a cyan dye into a leuco-body is remarkably caused. When the photosensitive material is used, a color photograph having high image quality is obtd.
