Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled piezoelectric ceramic sheet having excellent flexibility, bend strength, etc., and suitable for piezoelectric buzzer, by forming a thin green sheet from a slurry containing fine powder of lead perovskite compound and baking the green sheet. CONSTITUTION:A simple perovskite compound or composite perovskite compound of lead (e.g. the compound of formula I or formula II) is subjected to calcination and primary crushing to obtain powdery ceramic material. The powder is subjected to secondary crushing to fine powder having particle diameter of <=1mum and a thin green sheet is formed by using a slurry containing said fine powder. A flexible piezoelectric ceramic sheet can be produced by baking the obtained thin green sheet. The piezoelectric ceramic sheet produced by the above process has a thickness of <=100mum, a ratio of sheet-forming grain size to the sheet thickness of <=1/8 and an absolute value of grain size of <=5mum.
