Abstract

PURPOSE:To pack silica sand around a pattern without remaining any space by giving vibration under burying the pattern in the silica sand charging in a casting flask, successively stopping the vibration temporarily to reduce air pressure in the casting flask by sucking and then, giving the vibration after turning over the casting flask. CONSTITUTION:A base plate 21 carried with a roller conveyor 4 having flange is put on a vibrating table 2. On this base plate 21, the casting flask 17 is put while inserting flexible shield film 22 having non-permeability, such as resin film. Next, the silica sand S is charged into the casting flask 17, to bury the lost foam pattern M therein. After giving the vibration to the above silica sand S by a vibrating means 5 through the vibrating table 2, the silica sand S is supplied into the casting flask 17 and the upper face thereof is made to almost coincide with the upper face of the casting flask 17. Next, after closing the upper end opening part of the casting flask 17 with the flexible shield film 22 having non-permeability, the air in the casting flask 17 is sucked to reduce, the pressure by a vacuum pump 15, and the silica sand S is made to hard. Successively, the casting flask 17 is turned over at 180 deg. on the base plate 21, and after reliesing reduced pressure, the vibration is given and further the casting flask is sucked to reduce the pressure and again the silica sand S is made to hard, to pack the silica sand S to all over the pattern M.
