Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a picture signal with excellent picture quality by storing a black level of each picture element read before an original is read from a memory as a reference data and subtracting it from an original picture data. CONSTITUTION:Prior to the picture processing of an original, a picture analog data of black level is converted into a picture digital data A1 by an A/D converter 1. Simultaneously, a gate 3 is opened and the picture digital data A1 is stored in a memory 2 of an address corresponding to each picture element and when the black level data in each picture element of one line is finished for the reference and the gate 3 is closed and the storage to the memory 2 is finished. Then the picture digital data A1 of the original converted by the A/D converter 1 is subtracted by a subtracter 3 for the black level reference data B1 of the picture element corresponding to the data stored in the memory 2 and a picture correction data C1 correcting the picture digital data A1 of the original is outputted.
