Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance potential stability at the time of repeated uses by incorporating a compound having an azoalkene bonding group in the structural formula in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The dye, pigment, or the like to be added to the photosensitive layer has the bonding groups in the structural formulae represented by formulae I and II, especially, the azo pigment represented by formula III or IV is added to the photosensitive layer. In these formulae, each of R1-R4 is H, halogen atom, cyano, halomethyl, or optionally substituted acyl, such alkyloxycarbonyl, such aryloxycarbonyl, such alkyl, such aralkyl, or such aryl group; each of Ar1-Ar4 is optionally substituted divalent aryl, or such a hetero ring group, and each of Cp1-Cp4 is a coupler residue having a phenolic hydroxyl group, thus permitting stable potential characteristics to be obtained during repeated uses.
