Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the obtaining of a correct measured value for a long time, by a method wherein a means of digital values of measurement signals of the intensity of vibration in an upright drain pipe for each specified time length to judge the maximum value of a specified number of the means and a flow rate corresponding to the maximum value is calculated according to a correlationship between a downflow rate of the upright drain pipe and the intensity of the vibration. CONSTITUTION:An analog signal of the intensity of vibration of an upright drain pipe 1 measured 10 is converted 11 into digital from analog to be inputted into a computer 12. Here, a mean value of digital values of the signal is determined for each specified time length. Then, the maximum value of a specified number of the means is judged.
