Abstract
PURPOSE:To precisely measure the pressure in a living body, by forming the leading end part of a fine tube type pressure gauge of a metal cap and connecting a flexible fine tube thereto. CONSTITUTION:In the fine tube type pressure gauge inserted in a living body and detecting the pressure therein through a protective film 5, the leading end part of a flexible fine tube 4 is formed of a metal cap 7 which is cylindrical and equipped with a round curved surface 9 at the leading end surface thereof and an engaging part 10 having an outer diameter capable of inserting the fine tube 4 on the rear end side thereof. A hollow hole is provided to the metal cap 7, and a pedestal 2 and a silicon semiconductor pressure chip 1 are fixed thereto. Therefore, when stress is applied to the leading end part of the fine tube 4 having the pressure chip 1 mounted thereto, the metal cap 7 transmits no strain to the pressure chip 1 because of its rigidity and accurate pressure can be measured. Further, since the metal cap has high heat conductivity and the temp. of the living body is rapidly transferred to the pressure chip 1, the drift of a zero point due to temp. change can be reduced. Since only the leading end of the fine tube is made of a metal and the other part thereof is flexible, the fine tube can be easily inserted in the living body.
