Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled interlayer, having excellent transparency, adhesive properties and toughness, processable at a lower temperature than that of a conventional interlayer and suitable as windshield of automobiles, etc., by blending a polyvinyl acetal polymer with a plasticizer, curing agent and photopolymerization initiator.
CONSTITUTION: The aimed interlayer obtained by blending (A) a polyvinyl acetal polymer with (B) a plasticizer, (C) a curing agent and (D) a photopolymerization initiator and forming a film at, e.g. at 100W150°C temperature, by an extrusion method, etc. Further, the component (A) is preferably polyvinyl butyral having 500W2,000 polymerization degree and a tri- or polyfunctional acrylic monomer (e.g. pentaerythritol acrylate) is preferably used as the component (C). The blending ratio based on 100pts.wt. component (A) is preferably 1W20pts. wt. component (C) and 0.02W5pts.wt. component (D). Furthermore, many unevennesses are preferably formed on at least one surface and the average roughness of ten points of the above-mentioned unevennesses is preferably 20W100μm.
