Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to address an image randomly and to stop a scanning line at one point on the image, by using a superconductive thin film as a target of an image pickup device instead of a photoconductive film. CONSTITUTION:The superconductive critical current of a superconductive film 14 is lowered by incidence of light when it is used as a target 1 instead of a photoconductive film. Accordingly, the characteristic in the condition of normal conduction changes in the state of a current higher than the critical current, the device works as a photoelectric transferring element, so that it is made possible to address an image randomly, stop a scanning line at one point on the image. And also a vidicon system image pickup device can be used as an input system for computer processing.
