Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove a binder of glass cloth, improve adhesive properties to a resin varnish and obtain a laminated board, by heating the glass cloth in an electric furnace to partially remove the binder and subjecting the resultant glass cloth to plasma treatment.
CONSTITUTION: Sheets of glass cloth are impregnated with a resin varnish and dried to form plural sheets of prepreg, which are then laminated to produce a laminated board. In the process, the sheets of glass cloth are heated in an electric furnace at, e.g. 300W450°C for 12W36hr, before impregnating with the resin varnish to partially remove a binder. The resultant sheets of glass cloth are then subjected to plasma treatment to remove the residual binder.
