Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of fuel vapor staying in a liquid fuel storage space by expanding/contracting expansion/contraction members placed inside a tank in accordance with the storing quantity of fuel. CONSTITUTION:When a volatile liquid fuel is fed into a liquid fuel storage space 12 from a feeding port 13 and as a fuel lid 5 is opened, the ventilation port 31 of a ventilation pipe 3 is opened to atmospheric pressure and air bags 2 are pressed by the fuel which is poured into the liquid fuel storage space 12 and contracted. With the end of the fuel feeding, the fuel lid 5 is closed and a seal member 52 is pressed against the ventilation port 31 to cut the port 31 off of the air. And, as an ignition switch is turned on, the control circuit of air pump 42 becomes an operating condition and, when the fuel level of the liquid fuel storage space 12 is lowered below a defined level, the air pump 42 is driven. When the air bags 2 are expanded and as the fuel level rises, the air pump 42 is stopped.
