Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the overlap of answer back signals at the time of general calling by providing slave stations with circuits which set the answer back signal return time to values different at every slave station and providing a master station with a means which generates a return presence/absence discrimination timing signal in accordance with said return time. CONSTITUTION:A return time setting circuit 15 of each slave station 2 sets the time, after which the answer back signal is returned at the time of terminating reception of the call signal from a master station 1, to a value different from values of the other slave stations. A discrimination timing generating part 8 of the master station 1 generates the answer back signal return presence/ absence discrimination timing signal in accordance with the set return signal of each slave station. Thus, the master station receives respective answer back signals from slave stations without overlapping them with respect to time and discriminates the presence/absence of the answer back signal based on the discrimination timing signal to surely confirm the slave station which returns the answer back signal.
