This compd. is previously incorporated into the photosensitive material or added to a developing soln. used. The average particle size of each of the emulsions is <=0.5mum and the difference between the average particles sizes of the emulsions is >=0.1mum. In the formula I, each of L1-L4 is bivalent hydrocarbon, each of J1 and J2 is -O-, -COO-, etc., Y is H, a bivalent bonding radical, etc., Z is a heterocyclic ring, G is sulfonic acid, carboxyl, etc., and each of (k)-(r) is a prescribed integer.
