Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of liquid without forming a high grade of resonance point by combinedly using a check valve and a long liquid discharging pipe for connecting a liquid storage tank to a liquid container which is built in a structure and which is axially expadable/contractible with a small change in sectional area due to inner pressure. CONSTITUTION:A liquid storage tank 3 which is fastened to diagonal members 10a, 10b on the immediately upper story is connected to liquid containers 2a, 2b via check valves 4a, 4b while the other ends of the containers are fixed to a floor surface via brackets 9, connecting the liquid containers 2a, 2b to the liquid storage tank 3 with long and thin discharge pipes 5a, 5b. Also, the liquid containers may be formed with either a bellow type air spring rubber container 2a or a bellows 2b. Hence, a natural period can be long, damping can be large, having a non-linear shape, with a small amplitude under a vibration lower than the resonance point of a structure, without forming a high grade of resonance point in a high frequency band, and preventing the leakage of liquid.
