Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to restrict fluctuation of a rotational speed of an internal combustion engine with better response by distinguishing a quantity of external load effecting the internal combustion engine in case of idle running and compensating a generating quantity and ignition timing by the specific possible generation compensating quantity based on the result of that distinguishing. CONSTITUTION:In an internal combustion engine M1, a generating quantity of a generator M2 driven by its power is adjusted by a generating quantity adjusting means M3 and also ignition timing is adjusted by an ignition timing adjusting means M4. A distinguishing means M6 is provided for distinguishing a quantity of an external load effecting the combustion engine M1 in case of idle running based on the result of detection of an operating condition detecting means M5 for detecting combustion engine operating condition. A command for changing the generating quantity by the specific possible generation compensating quantity based on the quantity of the distinguished external load is output from a compensating means M7 to the generating quantity adjusting means M3 and also a command for changing ignition timing by the specific possible ignition timing compensating quantity is also output from a compensating means M8 to the ignition timing adjusting means M4.
