Abstract

PURPOSE:To constrain the generation of a molten metal oxide film and the reduction in its temp. by leading the molten metal fed from a constant level molten metal hoding furnace to a molten metal receiving side via the linear molten metal piping having an electromagnetic pump. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 2 inside a constant molten metal level furnace 1 is decided at slightly higher place than a molten metal piping 10 at its level 2a and the level 15 in the same height as the molten metal level 2a inside an adaptor 16 is formed on the molten metal 2. On an intermediate piping 7 the electromagnetic pump 13 consisting of the iron core 11 arranged at the shaft core part thereof and the coil 12 arranged on the peripheral part is assembled. This electromagnetic pump 13 induces an induction current on the molten metal 2 inside the intermediate piping 7 and is driven by the electromagnetic force with this induction current and the magnetic field generated from the coil 12 to feed the molten metal 2 to its receiving side 5. Due to the inside of the piping 10 being always filled up by the molten metal 2 the generation of a molten metal oxide film is minimized and the discharging amt. of the molten metal is stabilized.
