Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve stable levitation by arranging an element for producing a rotary magnetic field at a position separated from the center of gravity.
CONSTITUTION: A levitating device 1 is constructed by arranging rotary field generating units 5 in magnetism generating elements comprising many electromagnetic coils 4 connected continuously in circumferential direction onto a floating device body 3 formed to face with the floor face 2 with same distance from the center of gravity G of the device body 3. Current flowing through the electromagnetic coil 4 is connected variably with a power source equipment 6 so as to enable variation of levitation potential of the device body 3. An electromagnetic coil 8 for attitude control is arranged in the center of gravity G of the device body 3 and makes the inclination angle with respect to Z-axis passing through X-Y direction and the center of gravity G and crossing perpendicularly with X-Y face variable thus providing thrust and lift to the device 1. Consequently, the device 1 can be levitated more stably.
