Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable reproduced picture generating no tracking disturbance by providing the titled system with a means for detecting the operation time of a pinch roll and a means for detecting the winding distance of a tape and correcting the start timing of recording operation. CONSTITUTION:When a pinch solenoid 16 is turned on, i.e. when the pinch roll is pressed against a capstan, a SW 26 is turned on and a solenoid operation time detecting circuit 24 detects the operation time of the pinch solenoid 16. The time delay of the operation time is canceled by a recording timing correction computing circuit 23. On the other hand, the winding distance of the tape supplied to a tape winding distance computing circuit 22 is detected by a winding reel FG signal 20 and a feeding reel FG signal 21 and the obtained tape winding distance information is supplied to the circuit 23. Consequently, CTL signal recording timing correction data corresponding to a battery voltage and a tape winding distance can be obtained and supplied to a system circuit 10 and an operation mode is switched to a recording mode by the corrected recording timing signal.
