Abstract
PURPOSE:To extend the life of a printing head and to obtain high printing quality, by mixing particles composed of material quality having high hardness and low coefficient of friction in at least one of the conductive part and insulating part of the leading end part of the head brought into contact with recording paper or a ribbon. CONSTITUTION:Predetermined particles 3, 3' are mixed in one of or both of the conductor 1 and insulator 2 of a printing head. The particles 3 or 3' to be used are composed of material quality having properties such that hardness is 700 Hv or more or friction coefficient is 0.5 or less, easy to disperse in the matrix of the conductor 1 or insulator 2, not reacting with the material quality of the matrix and generating no deterioration of characteristic at high temp. As the material quality having hardness of 700 Hv or more, Al2O3, ZrO2, TiO2 and SIALON are designated and, as the material quality having friction coefficient of 0.5 or less, MOS2, graphite and a fluorocarbon resin are designated. By this method, the printing head excellent from aspects of both and printing quality can be realized.
