Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily observe a small living body such as a tick and mold by constituting a portable organism inspection device by combining an image pickup device which uses a solid-state charge coupled element as a sensing means, an optical view tube which has a lens part, and a lighting means. CONSTITUTION:The portable organism inspection device consists of the image pickup device 3 which has the solid-state charge coupled element as the sensing means, the optical view tube 2 which has the lens 1, and the lighting means consisting of a light source 7 and a glass fiber light guide part 8. In-room dust collected by, for example, an electronic vacuum cleaner is put in a Petri dish and the lens 1 of the optical view tube 2 is focused thereupon. Then an image of the in-room dust is picked up by the image pickup device 3 and outputted to a monitor television 11. At this time, the light from the light source 7 is guided to the glass fiber 8 for illumination. Thus, the image is picked up by the image pickup device which has the solid-state charge coupled element, so a small animal which is hardly seen directly such as a tick and mold in a house is easily observed.
