Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the activity efficiency of a communication line between private branch exchanges, by providing a call request means which transmits information to a second private branch exchange where plural participant extensions are housed at a first private branch exchange where the call extension of a telephone conference is housed, and providing a conference connection execution means which sets conference connection at the second private branch exchange. CONSTITUTION:The conference call request means 100 identifies the fact that plural participant extensions B and C belong to another same private branch exchange 2, and transmits a signal for requesting the conference call to the private branch exchange 2 which houses the plural participant extensions B and C via a common signal line 7. The conference connection execution means 200 receives the signal for requesting a conference call, and sets the conference connection between the participant extensions B and C and a speech path relay line 3 to the private branch exchange 1 to which the call extension A is connected. In such way, the conference connection between the plural participant extensions B and C and the call extension A is executed in the private branch exchange 2 where the participant extensions B and C are housed. Thereby, only the speech path relay line 3 to which the call extension A is connected connects between the private branch exchanges 1 and 2, therefore, the activity efficiency of the communication line between both exchanges can be improved.
