Abstract
PURPOSE:To correctly adjust a left eye video signal and a right eye video signal at the vertical position by reading the left eye video signal and the right eye video signal from first and second storing means and comparing by a deciding means and informing that the vertical positions of both the signals coincide. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal positions of the respective sampling areas of a left screen and a right screen are designated by adjusting thumbs 29, 30. Then, a CPU 23 reads the left eye video signal in the sampling area of the left screen of the designated position from a picture memory 26 and stores in a RAM 25. Subsequently, the CPU 23 reads the right eye video signal of the right side sampling area from a picture memory 27. Then, the left eye video signal of the RAM 25 is compared with the right eye video signal read now. When both the video signals do not coincide, it is decided that the vertical positions of both the video signals are dislocated to input the left side sampling again. Then, the operator of a stereoscopic image pickup device 15 adjusts mount bases 18, 19 so as to match both the video signals and match the vertical angles of right and left TV cameras 16, 17.
