Abstract
PURPOSE:To project the same picture of two fields as left and right ones, and to obtain a reproduced picture free of a flicker, by sending an output during a signal absence period by using a picture memory on a reception side by recording or transmitting the left and right images alternately at intervals of one field during image recording or transmission. CONSTITUTION:Left and right TV cameras 2 and 3 pick up an image of one object 1, and those cameras 2 and 3 perform scanning while synchonizing with a common synchronizing plate 4. A horizontal and a vertical synchronizing signal from the synchronizing plate 4 are applied to a control part, and an electronic switch 6 is changed over by the control signal of the control part 5 to apply a left and right image from the cameras 2 and 3 to a discrimination-signal addition part 7 alternately at intervals of one field; an a right-image discrimination signal A is added in front of a right video signal output from a terminal 9, and for image recording, the signal is recorded through a video tape recorder 8. Then, signal absence parts of every other field of the left and right image signal at a reception side are interpolated by using a picture memory and a delay device to project the same image of two left and right fields, thereby eliminating a flicker.
