Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform a high speed motion by increasing the rigidities of both leaf springs except a section adjacent to an operating member clamping unit in a motion converting mechanism for relatively displacing two leaf springs disposed in parallel along its disposing direction to incline an operating member secured to its end. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied to a piezoelectric element 5 to be elongated in a direction of an arrow A, an interlock 14 is moved in parallel with an elongating direction in a state that supported by both upper and lower links 8, 9. Thus, a tiltable element 17 is tilted in a direction of an arrow B at the sixth hinge 16 of a second support 4 as a fulcrum, and a movable leaf spring 18 is extruded in parallel with a stationary leaf spring 19. The elastic deforming part 18a of the end of the movable leaf spring is elastically defored with a small radius of curvature, a rotary moment is generated at the wire supporting arm 20 of the operating member to obtain the stroke of a printing wire 21.
