Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve dehydrating function and contrive safe operation by a small-sized apparatus, by screening raw material coal containing excessive water through a centrifugal screen, then screening a mixture of undersize powdered coal with water through a centrifugal screening machine and mixing the powdered coal after separating from liquid with the above-mentioned oversize coal. CONSTITUTION:Raw material coal, contained in a raw material coal hopper 1 and containing excessive water content is fed to a centrifugal screening machine 2 by a conveying line 5 and separated into coal having a large particle diameter, powdered coal with a high water content and part of water. The mixture of the separated powdered coal with water is then fed to a centrifugal dehydrating machine 3 by a conveying line 6 and the powdered coal separated from liquid is subsequently fed to a product hopper 4 by a conveying line 7. Water is collected through a water draining duct 3-3 into a tank 8. On the other hand, oversize coal separated by the centrifugal screening machine 2 is passed through a conveying line 9 and fed to a product hopper 4. The powdered coal and oversize coal are mixed and contained in the product hopper 4 and fed to a coke oven by a conveying line 10.
