Abstract

When the plasma arc column 4 intersects the magnetic line of force 7 at an angle, the Lorentz's force acts and the plasma arc column 4 and the discharging point 3 on the nozzle torch 2 are moved in the tangential direction by the Lorentz's force. The plasma arc column 4 to move in the tangential direction rotates and the discharging point 3 also moves while rotating on the nozzle torch 2 as shown by an arrow 8. By this method, the heat concentration is prevented and the cooling is accelerated while rotating and the consumption of the discharging point 3 of the nozzle torch 2 is reduced and the durability is improved.
