る常光線と異常光線とに分離してその一方の光線
を前記両液晶表示パネルの一方に入射させるとと
もに他方の光線を他方の液晶表示パネルに入射さ
せる光学系とを備えたことを特徴とする投影型液
晶表示装置。 (2) 一方の液晶表示パネルは常光線を使用して
表示を行なうものであり、他方の液晶表示パネル
は異常光線を使用して表示を行なうものであるこ
