Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a small-sized and low-cost temperature compensation system by monolithically forming a thermistor for temperature compensation in an integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION:The input resistances Rs1, Rs2 (generally called Rs) and the feedback resistances Rf1,Rf2 (generally called Rf) of a differential amplifier A13 are monolithically formed on the same common substrate as other amplifier part by an ion implantation for the input resistance Rs and by a base diffusion for the feedback resistance Rf respectively. Then, by using a difference between the temperature coefficient of the input resistance Rs and the temperature coefficient of the feedback resistance Rf, the gain of the differential amplifier A13 is made to have the negative temperature coefficient so as to cancel the temperature coefficients of logarithmic amplifiers A11, A12, and the temperature coefficient of a whole color temperature detecting circuit 11 is made to be '0'. Thus, the system can be constituted into a monolithic IC constitution, which can correct the temperature characteristic of the circuit, including the differential amplifier A13 without externally attaching the thermistor, and it can be made small-sized and low-cost.
