Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily constitute a driver without using a D/A converter which has a high-speed settling time by providing plural switches which are provided between a reference voltage generating circuit and a capacitive element and opened and closed under the control of outputs of corresponding decoders in a decoder group. CONSTITUTION: This circuit has decoders 121, 122... for pulse width modulation, a sample holding circuit consisting of sample holding capacitors 41, 42... and sample holding switches 51, 52..., and output buffers 31 and 32.... In this case, the sample holding switches 51, 52... are closed only when output waveforms generated by the pulse width modulation of the decoders 121, 122... for pulse width modulation are high-level outputs, and only voltages which are proportional to the pulse width are charged in the sample holding capacitors 41, 42... and outputted by output buffer amplifiers 31, 32.... Consequently, the driver can be constituted without using a D/A converter which has a high-speed settling time.
