Conventionally, the method for producing decorative paper with a wood grain pattern is to apply an impregnation-preventing paint to the surface of a plywood board with recesses, dry it, then apply a coloring agent to the surface, and then remove the paint on the surface of the convex parts using a reverse roll or the like. There is a method of leaving the colorant only in the wiping recesses to give the feel of the wood grain conduit, or a method of printing the wood grain conduit with a synthetic resin that has a repellent effect and applying paint to the entire surface so that only the conduit part is left. A method is known in which the material is exposed without being coated. However, since such conventional methods merely utilize surface irregularities or liquid repellent effects, it has been difficult to form wood grain conduit portions with good reproducibility or beauty.

That is, the present invention includes a process of printing a wood grain base with printing ink on base paper, a process of selectively printing impregnating stop ink on a drop-out conduit plate excluding the conduit part, and a process of printing the entire surface including the conduit part. To provide a method for producing decorative paper having a wood grain pattern, which comprises the steps of applying an etching composition that deteriorates the printing ink, and applying a coloring agent only to the deteriorated printing ink area. .

In the present invention, the term "wood grain pattern" is a broad concept that includes not only natural wood grain patterns but also similar patterns, such as simple striped patterns.

Next, the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 shows a paper substrate 1 (for example, thin paper made of synthetic or natural paper) with a wood grain base printing layer 2, and then a liquid impregnating stopper ink (or sealer) is applied to the cut-out conduit plate excluding the wood grain conduit portion. A sealer layer 3 is formed by printing, and then a transparent synthetic resin paint 4 with good repellency (i.e., water repellency or oil repellency) is coated on top of the sealer layer 3 using a similar molding plate and dried. There is.

Next, an etching composition that degrades the printed layer 2, such as a strong alkaline aqueous solution such as a 15-20% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, is applied over the entire surface using, for example, a solid printing plate. In this case, as shown in FIG. 2, this strong alkaline aqueous solution does not attack the sealer layer 3 and the transparent synthetic resin paint 4, but attacks and degrades the printing layer 2 (for example, nitrified cotton-based ink) in the conduit portion, and also deteriorates the paper base material 1. It acts to loosen paper fibers, and as a result,
A rough surface 5 is formed in the recess. Furthermore, if the colored ink 6 is applied again to the entire surface using a solid printing plate, the colored ink 6 penetrates into the rough surface 5 of the conduit portion as shown in FIG. Next, by removing the colored ink 6 on the surface using a doctor knife, reverse roll, brush roll, etc., the colored ink 6 on the top surface of the transparent synthetic resin paint 4 will be removed, and the colored ink 6 will definitely remain only in the conduit part. I will do it.

In the above explanation, the case was described in which the sealer layer 3 and the transparent synthetic resin paint 4 with good repellency were applied separately, but it is also possible to use one composition that has both impregnation prevention and repellency properties. Alternatively, a single application process may be required.

Furthermore, in the above explanation, the deterioration process of the printing layer 2 and the coating process of the colorant 6 are performed separately.
If the etching composition 5 and the colored ink can coexist in one liquid, these steps can be completed in one step.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the wood grain pattern layer can be reliably synchronized with the wood grain conduit portion,
A three-dimensional wood grain pattern is obtained, and since the coloring of the conduit part is applied so as to bite into the paper base material, the process of wiping off the colorant from unnecessary parts can be carried out reliably, resulting in a beautiful finished wood grain pattern. It can be formed with good reproducibility.

Example: A teak-colored wood grain blur is printed on thin paper with a basis weight of 23 g/m 2 by regular gravure printing, and then a urethane sealer is applied to the surface using a cut-out conduit plate (plate depth 60 μm) with the wood grain conduit portion removed. apply it to
After drying, the surface was further coated with a urethane-based resin paint using a similar pipe plate (plate depth: 200 μm). Next, an organic solvent-based colorant was applied to the entire surface of the overcoated resin layer using a solid plate having a plate depth of 130 μm. Next, the coloring agent was scraped off except for the concave portions using a reverse roll, so that the colorant remained only in the concave portions. As a result, it was possible to obtain a decorative paper with a three-dimensional wood grain pattern in which the wood grain conduit portion was in sync with the teak color wood grain pattern.
