Abstract

PURPOSE:To test the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of a tool or machine structure material for injection molding under test conditions similar to those of an actual machine by holding a sample between end surface of a couple of pistons and holding a body to be tested in the piston. CONSTITUTION:Cylinder main bodies 1L and 1R are set opposite abutting on each other, liners 2L and 2R are fitted to their internal diameter, and sample holders 4L and 4R holding the sample 3 are clamped and held between the end surface of the liners 2L and 2R. Band heaters 5L and 5R are provided on the outer diameter of the cylinders 1L and 1R to heat and soften the body 7 to be tested. A piston 6 driven by a hydraulic unit applies optional pressure to the body 7 to be tested to create the conditions similar to those of the actual machine. Consequently, the tool or structure material for injection projection is simulated in the state close to the actual machine to evaluate the quality.
