[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to a fender device, and more specifically, by providing a universal joint mechanism between the impact plate and the fender main body, only the impact plate can be freely adjusted according to the shape of the fender. This relates to a fender device that can change its angle.

Conventionally, when a ship comes alongside, a fender comes into contact with the side of the ship, and its deformation absorbs the kinetic energy when the ship comes alongside. In other words, in a conventional ship, the side of the ship is flat, and the movement of that side is perpendicular to the quay surface, so it was sufficient to consider only the force in this direction. However, due to demands for resource saving and speeding up ship operations, the shape of the ship's hull became streamlined, and more and more of the ship's sides were formed with curved surfaces.

Due to this fact, the part that contacts the fender during berthing often has a three-dimensional angle, and the direction of the force received by the impact plate often deviates somewhat from the conventional direction perpendicular to the quay. As a result, the forced deformation of the fender body differs from the case where the flat side is applied perpendicularly to the quay, and the compression performance, that is, the ability to absorb kinetic energy when berthed, decreases accordingly.

The present invention is a new fender device that eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks, and its gist is that a rubber or rubber-like elastic body is used between the impact plate, which receives ships coming alongside, and the coming alongside facility. In a fender device with a buffer material interposed, it exists in a fender device with a structure in which the buffer material and the impact plate are connected by a universal joint, and the impact plate and the fender plate are connected by a universal joint. By adding a universal joint mechanism between the fender and the main body, a fender device is provided in which the angle of only the impact plate can be freely changed according to the shape of the fender side.

When a ship comes into contact with such a fender, for example, as shown in Figure 2, if the ship approaches the quay at an angle θ in the direction of the arrow, the ship's side and the impact plate of the fender come into contact at point P. . After that, the impact receiving plate rotates and attempts to make full contact with the ship's side. During this process, the fender is deformed as shown in Figure 3, which causes a reduction in compression performance.

4 and 5 are sectional views of the fender according to the present invention, and FIG. 4 shows one embodiment thereof. In FIG. 4, 4 is an impact receiving plate, 5 is a cushioning material made of rubber or a rubber-like elastic body, and 6 is a quay.

In the fender device according to the present invention, one side is a spherical convex body 7, and the other side is a spherical convex body 7 between the impact plate 4 and a cushioning material made of rubber or rubber-like elastic body that absorbs kinetic energy when coming to shore. There is a ball joint shaped universal joint made of a concave shaped body 8 which receives the impact, and chains 9, 9 are provided between both ends of the impact receiving plate and the quay wall 6 to maintain the position of the impact receiving plate.

In such a fender, when the ship approaches the quay in the direction of the arrow at an angle θ as shown in FIG. 2, the ball joint works and the impact plate is tilted by the angle θ as shown in FIG. At the same time, the chain on the inclined side is loosened as shown in the figure, and both the cushioning materials 5, 5 are evenly bent as shown in the figure. In this way, the fender effect is exhibited without deterioration of compression performance.

FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing still another embodiment of the fender according to the present invention, in which 4 is a shock receiving plate, 5 is a cushioning material made of rubber or a rubber-like elastic body, and 6 is a quay. In this embodiment, a pin-shaped member 10 having an annular protrusion 11 is provided perpendicularly to the impact-receiving plate 4 on the back surface of the impact-receiving plate 4, that is, on the side facing the quay wall 6, and the pin-shaped member 10 is used as a shock-absorbing member. The pin-shaped member is inserted into an aperture 13 whose diameter is slightly larger than that of the pin-shaped member 10 provided at the center of the plate 12 provided on the upper surface of the material 5, that is, the upper surface facing the impact receiving plate 4. An annular protrusion 14 is further provided at the distal end of the plate 10, which prevents the impact plate 4 from falling off.

In the fender of this embodiment, the lower surface of the annular protrusion 11 provided on the pin-shaped member 10 above the plate body 12 is curved toward the pin-shaped member 10 as shown in the figure, and is made thicker. Therefore, even if the ship with the impact plate 4 comes alongside at an angle, the universal joint will move in a grating manner around the pin-shaped member 10, causing only the impact plate 4 to tilt, resulting in a decrease in compression performance. The fender effect can be achieved even if the amount of water is small.

FIG. 7 is a sectional view showing still another embodiment of the fender according to the present invention, in which 4 is a shock receiving plate, 5 is a cushioning material made of rubber or a rubber-like elastic body, and 6 is a quay. In this embodiment, a pin-shaped member 10 having an annular protrusion 14 at the lower end is provided on the back surface of the impact receiving plate 4, while the inner end of the plate 12 provided on the upper surface of the cushioning material 5 is A conical cylindrical member 12' is provided with a relatively large radius on the outer periphery of its upper end, and its end reaches the corner of the pin-shaped member 10 where the impact receiving plate is installed on the lower surface.

In the fender of this embodiment, when a ship comes alongside the impact plate 4 at an angle, the upper part of the conical cylindrical member 12' has a radius, so that only the impact plate 4 can be easily moved. This prevents the compression performance of the cushioning material 5 from deteriorating.
