タ５、冷水供給管２４及びウオータポンプ１３を
通つてシリンダジヤケツト７へと循環させるよう
にして冷却水循環系を構成した縦型水冷頭上弁エ
ンジンの冷却装置において、 シリンダヘツド２の上面に動弁機構Ｖを覆う状
態で固着してあるヘツドカバー３の側壁２８内に
冷却水通路２９をクランク軸１４の軸心に沿つて
形成し、この冷却水通路２９の後端部をヘツドジ
ヤケツト８の後端上部に連通させるとともに、冷
却水通路２９の前端部をウオータポンプ１３の吸
込部２３に連通させたことを特徴とする縦型水冷
