た乳白拡散板3とから構成され、常時点灯された水銀ラ
ンプによって、均一で高い輝度が乳白拡散板上に提示で
きるようになっている。信号機中央部のフィルタ回転部
は、第2図に示すような色フィルタを内蔵した回転円板
6と、これを回転させるためのギアーおよび駆動モータ
7とから構成され、乳白拡散板上に提示された白色の高
輝度を、信号機の所要光色である赤、青、黄に時間差を
設けて変換する機能をもつ部分である。現在の信号機の
色光の提示時間には差があるので、モータに接続したギ
アーをこれに合せてメカニカルに設計することによって
、瞬時に、赤、青、黄の光色に切りかわり、その提示時
