Claims (1)
を通つて搬送し、原稿読取位置にて照明光源で照
射された原稿からの反射光を光学読取センサに導
くようにした画像読取装置において、原稿搬送路
に対して照明光源とは反対側に、原稿搬送方向と
は直角方向に配列された複数のパターンを有する
パターン部材を原稿読取位置に配置すると共に、
原稿読取位置に近い原稿搬送方向下流側位置から
照明光源の光を取り入れ、これを原稿挿入口へ導
く光ガイドを配置し、該光ガイドから出た光を前
記光学読取センサに導く光学系を設け、原稿非挿
入時に上記光ガイドを通つて、上記光学読取セン
サに導かれる光は、照明光源で照射される上記パ
ターン部材からの上記光学読取センサに到る反射
光に含まれる上記複数のパターンに相当する光信
号のうちの若干個のパターンに相当する光信号を
