八 発明が解決しようとする問題点
従来の背側プロテクターの製作工程ではパイプベンダー
を使用し、管を所定の寸法に曲げる必要がある。パイプ
ベンダーでは曲げ加工を行なう際、機械の構造上、所定
のつかみ代が必要であるが、背側プロテクターの場合つ
かみ代が短いため、第7図の如く
(a)直管を所定の寸法に鋸切断した後、(b)所定の
曲げ半径で曲げ加工を行ない、(C)これを長手方向に
ガス切断またはプラズマ切断する
ことは困燻であるから、第6図に示す如く、管を所定の
曲げ半径で連続画げすることになり、後工程における原
図寸法鋸切断に時間がかかるというのが実状である。8. 曲げ型に巻き付いて背側プロテクターが形成されること
を以って問題点を解決するための手段とした。2.
