As shown in the figure, it has a structure in which a touch panel 2 is mounted on a liquid crystal display element 1. (For example, 1986-126
(See Publication No. 58) [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the above conventional example, it is difficult to align the display pattern of the liquid crystal display element 1 and the display pattern of the touch panel 2;
Workability (poor) Also, since it has a two-layer structure of the liquid crystal layer of the touch panel 2 and the liquid crystal layer of the liquid crystal display element 1, the light transmittance is poor. However, if such a television becomes portable, it is necessary to provide a touch panel on the LCD screen.
If a touch panel is provided on the TV screen, the light transmittance will be poor, which poses a problem as a product. In addition, in the conventional example,
There were also problems in that there were a large number of parts and the cost was high.

Further, since the inner surface of the electrode substrate is provided with an electrode pattern for lighting the liquid crystal and an electrode pattern for the touch panel, the workability is excellent. Furthermore, the number of parts is the same as that of a normal liquid crystal display element, so the number of parts does not increase.

When pressure is applied to the surface of the glass substrate 3, the capacitance of the liquid crystal 12 changes, so a liquid crystal capacitance detector (not shown) detects this change in Wt, and the touch panel electrode pattern 5.6 lights up.
