As a mounting structure for this type of spark plug, a structure previously disclosed by the present applicant in Utility Model Application No. 117196/1983 has been provided. In this structure, as shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b, the spark plug 2 is housed in a notch 5 provided at the front edge of the mounting plate 3, which is fixed at a fixed position in the device, and the spark plug 2 is inserted into the front end of the mounting plate 3. Press the spark plug 2 with the attached pressing member 4' made of elastic material,
The spark plug 2 is held between the holding member 4 and the notched recess 5. The holding member 4' used here is formed by bending a wire rod, and the wire rods press against the spark plug at the top and bottom of the mounting plate 3, respectively, thereby holding the mounting plate at two places, the top and bottom. The spark plug 2 is designed to prevent the spark plug 2 from wobbling in the front-rear direction, that is, in the direction A in the figure, and changing its inclination. However, although spark plugs are required to accurately position their ignition tips, this structure does not take any measures to prevent wobbling in the left-right direction, that is, direction B in the figure. However, there was a problem in that it was difficult to reliably position the spark plug in the correct position.

In the mounting structure for a gas burner spark plug according to the present invention, a notch is formed at the front edge of the mounting plate to accommodate the body of the spark plug, and a first protrusion and a second protrusion are formed from both left and right sides of the front end of the mounting plate, respectively. A first locking edge and a second locking edge are respectively formed on the rear end edge of each protrusion, and an inclined edge running diagonally backward inward from the first locking edge is a first locking edge. The retaining edge is formed on one side of the rear mounting plate and is attached to the front end of the mounting plate, and has a long hole along its longitudinal direction, and a pair of retainers extending from the center in the longitudinal direction to one side of the retaining member. This is a spring plate with a protruding piece, and when the holding member is attached to the mounting plate by inserting the front end of the mounting plate into the elongated hole, the center part in the longitudinal direction resists the spring force. The ignition plug in the notch is held in the notch by pressing the spark plug in the bent recess, and the peripheral edges of both ends of the elongated hole are applied with a spring restoring force to the first locking edge and the second locking edge, respectively. The holding member is connected to the mounting plate by pressure contact, and when the holding member is connected to the mounting plate, the above-mentioned pair of holding pieces are attached to the circumferential surface of the spark plug at two vertically separated locations, respectively, above and below the mounting piece. When pressing the spark plug to remove the spark plug, press the holding member against the spring force so that the peripheral edge of one side of the elongated hole that is locked to the first locking edge moves along the inclined edge. By moving the part rearward, the second locking edge is disengaged from the peripheral edge of the other end of the elongated hole, the holding member is removed from the mounting plate, and the spark plug is taken out from the mounting plate.
