Conventional cylindrical foams include those that have a notch that penetrates from the outer surface to the inner surface of the foam as shown in Figure 3, which are used after plumbing work such as water pipes, and those that have a cutout that penetrates from the outer surface to the inner surface of the foam that is used after plumbing work such as water pipes. There were two types: one without and one without. For this reason, it is necessary to prepare two types of foam at all times, making inventory management and delivery management to the construction site cumbersome. For example, if one type of foam is mistakenly brought to a construction site where two types of foam are required. This resulted in a decrease in work efficiency.

The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of conventional products, and its gist is that the inner periphery is The present invention resides in a cylindrical foam body characterized by being provided with a cutout portion that does not penetrate all the way to the surface.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a front view showing one embodiment of the cylindrical foam of the present invention, in which a polyethylene foam 1 has a polyethylene foam 1 along its longitudinal direction from an outer circumferential surface 3 to an inner circumferential surface 2. is provided with a notch 4 that is not penetrated.

The material of the foam 1 is of course not limited to polyethylene, but may include polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride,
Polyurethane, acrylic resin, etc. are widely used. It is preferable that the notch 4 be provided to such an extent that it can penetrate to the inner peripheral surface by cutting the foam 1 without using a jig, especially in the case of a polyethylene foam with a foaming ratio of 20 to 40 times. It is preferable to leave about 1/4 to 1/2 of the total thickness. FIG. 2 is a front view showing another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 shows an example in which the cutout portions 4 are provided from both sides of the inner circumferential surface 2 and the outer circumferential surface 3.

When using the cylindrical foam of the present invention, before piping, just insert the hole in the center into the pipe.
If piping has been completed, the foam is broken and incised from the notch using a jig or bare hands to penetrate the notch from the outer circumferential surface to the inner circumferential surface, and the foam is expanded from the notch to cover it. It is applied to the pipe. Furthermore, if necessary, the broken notch is closed using a locking tool such as adhesive tape to complete the construction.

When the notch is provided from the outer circumferential surface to the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical foam as in the present invention, the notch is provided from the inner circumferential surface to the outer circumferential surface. The location of the foam is easy to understand, and the foam can be easily cut and broken.
