Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable automatic supply of paper money during the operation of the captioned machine and lighten the burden of an operator by delivering one at a time and supplying sheets of paper money from a supplying device to a money delivering mechanism part when the lack of sheets of paper money in said money delivering mechanism part is detected. CONSTITUTION:Mechanisms of holding and delivering sheets of paper money for money delivering are provided in the cashier holding parts 10, 11 for 10,000-yen bills and 1,000-yen bills, respectively, to deliver a desired number of sheets one at a time on demand of a customer. And, at the time of delivering sheets of paper memory, the sheets of paper money are reexamined in their respective examination parts 5 and regular sheets of paper money are stored in a money delivery pool 7 and fed to a customer while, on the other hand, an abnormal sheet of paper money is sent into a reject box 12. In this case, a supply close examination safe 13 which is also used for collecting sheets of paper memory is formed in a cassette type which is portable by an operator and installed, e.g., below the reject box 12. And, when necessary, sheets of paper money are delivered from the safe 13 to holding parts 10, 11 and held there based on a defined detecting signal.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a banknote replenishment method in an automatic teller machine, and in particular, to perform both banknote deposit and withdrawal operations, and to recycle the deposited banknotes as withdrawals. The present invention relates to a banknote replenishment method for a type of recycling banknote deposit/disburse device.

(Prior art) Conventionally, when an automatic teller machine that performs this type of deposit/withdrawal operation runs out of banknotes, a bank employee pulls out the banknote storage and manually replenishes the banknotes. The banknotes were either set or refilled by inserting them into the handling port used by the customer, or by inserting bills in predetermined units, for example, every 100 bills, from a special refilling port at the rear. Also, when the number of sheets is large, the above-mentioned storage has to be manually operated.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The conventional system described above requires the assistance of a bank employee for any procedure, and even if it is an automatic machine, it requires an operator's assistance, and it is difficult for a person to operate the machine if it is installed outside the store. Even in cases where banknotes are not fully stocked, bank employees must be on standby to replenish banknotes, and replenishing banknote shortages, especially near the end of operating hours, is a heavy burden on bank employees. Also, for customers, if there is a shortage of withdrawal banknotes during use,
There were many drawbacks such as having to wait until the bank staff refilled the supplies.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The banknote replenishment system of the present invention provides, in addition to recycling-type deposit and withdrawal safes according to denominations, a withdrawal-only deposit box equipped with a dispensing mechanism, in which a replenishment bank is provided. When a recycling-type deposit/withdrawal safe is loaded with banknotes in advance, and a detection device with a built-in so-called near-end detects a shortage of banknotes in the recycle-type deposit/withdrawal safe, the banknotes are automatically dispensed from the deposit/withdrawal safe and refilled with banknotes. This is how it was done.

FIG. 1 is a schematic side sectional view of a recycling type banknote dispensing device in which the present invention is implemented. First, the overall flow of banknotes through this deposit/withdrawal device will be explained. Generally, banknotes are conveyed through the device by means of rollers and endless pels, which are hung by rollers and rollers. The structure is such that it is easy to insert money for deposits and take it out for withdrawals at the front of the IVi device. To explain the deposit process, the deposited banknote bundle 2 inserted into the person exit 1 is passed through banknote feeding rollers 3a, 3b, 3c.
The sheets are peeled off one by one from the IC and sent into the conveyance path.

If a fake or duplicate is detected, it will be sent to the withdrawal bool. The banknotes that have entered the withdrawal pool 7 are returned to the exit 1 for reinsertion. The front and back pools 6 are separated into front and back by a gate 6a. For example, those identified as fronts are fed into the pool from above, and those identified as backs are fed into the pool from below. In this state, the amounts are displayed, and when the customer judges that the amounts match and inputs a permission signal, bills are fed out one by one from the front and back pools 6 in the same manner as the exit 1, and the storage operation is performed. The storage operation passes through the discrimination section 5 in the same way as the deposit pass, and is transferred to the 10,000 yen note deposit/withdrawal holding section 10. The thousand yen bill is stored in the deposit/withdrawal storage section 11. Please refer to Section 2 regarding these withdrawal reservation sections.
This will be further described later with reference to FIGS.

5 and a bill presser 36 for pressing the banknotes 32 in the deposit holding section 41 toward the deposit holding section 41 so as not to fall. First, FIG. 2 shows a state in which the withdrawal holding section 42 is full of banknotes 31 1/c, and the deposit holding section 41 contains banknotes for several transactions. From this state, new deposited banknotes are transferred to feeding port 4.
The money enters the deposit holding section 41 from o, and the deposit side bill valve 36 moves to the center as the money enters the deposit holding section 41, and the deposit holding section 41 eventually becomes full as shown in FIG. FIG. 4 shows a state in which the dispensing side banknotes are being fed out from the dispensing section, the banknotes in the dispensing holding section 42 are at the near end, and the deposit holding section 41 is full and running out. FIG. 5 shows the operation of the preparation work for moving the banknotes in the full deposit holding section 41 to the dispensing side. The money is sent to the feeding port 40 via the route shown by 43, and then transferred to the deposit holding section 41. At this time, the back-up plate 34 on the withdrawal side retreats as indicated by reference numeral 44 and moves to a position behind the banknotes on the deposit side (the position indicated by the chain line). Thereafter, as shown in FIG.
Move to 2. The banknote presser 36 on the deposit side moves to the withdrawal side while pressing down the banknotes on the deposit side, and returns to the deposit side again.

Here, the replenishment means when the deposit/withdrawal reservation section runs out of banknotes will be explained. Conventionally, in such cases, banknotes were refilled manually by a bank employee, but in the present invention, a banknote shortage detection device (sensor) is provided, and a detection signal from this sensor causes the replenishment inspection safe 13 to replenish the banknotes from the replenishment mechanism unit, that is, the above-mentioned entry. The banknotes are to be transferred to the withdrawal holding section. To give a specific example, when the withdrawal holding section 42 reaches the near end with the deposit holding section 10 not full, this near end is handled by counting the number of yen notes and using the operation of the backup board 34. It is detected by a sensor (not shown), and this detection signal causes
In addition to loading at the start of business, bills previously set in a replenishment inspection safe 13 for replenishment of shortages are fed out, discriminated like the loading operation, front and back aligned, and set in a deposit holding part 41. The subsequent transfer from the deposit holding section 41 to the withdrawal holding section 42 is performed according to the operations shown in FIGS. 4 to 7 described above. In addition, since it is possible to withdraw money in two denominations, replenishment will be done at the same time in both denominations, but if there is no shortage in either denomination,
For example, when the 1,000 yen bill deposit/withdrawal holding section 11 is full, the money is collected in the replenishment inspection safe 13.
