Conventionally, the gold plating structure of exterior parts for watches, such as the body, back cover, rim, etc., bands, and leashes on the watch side, has been made by first applying Au-Ag to the surface of a material using nickel silver or brass. A base alloy plating is applied as the base plating, and then Au-Ni alloy plating, Au-Co, or Au-Ni alloy plating is applied as the base plating.
Alloy plating of Au-Cu, Au-Pd, Au-Sn, etc. was performed. In this gold plating configuration, the Au-Ni alloy plating applied as the finishing plating has a calm and luxurious golden color in terms of color tone.
It matches the color tone we requested. but,
Au-Ni alloy plating currently has a high gold phase of K23,
Moreover, since the stress of the plating layer is high, the thickness limit is about 3μ. Also, trying to lower the gold price
If Ni is increased, it is impossible in terms of color and plating stress. Therefore, with the current high price of gold, it has become a major cost bottleneck. Other finishing plating options include Au-Co, Au-Cu, Au-
There are alloy platings such as Pd and Au-Sn, but
Like Au-Ni alloy plating, it cannot be thickly plated and has a high metal phase, which is a big cost problem. Furthermore, the gold phase of the Au-Ag alloy plating used as the base gold plating ranges from K14 to K18.
Thickness as low as several tens of microns is possible, but compared to current
When the Ag content is increased and the gold phase is reduced to K14 or lower, the color that originally had a yellow gold color loses its yellowness and becomes white.
If the finishing Au-Ni alloy plating becomes dull,
An extreme difference in color tone occurs, and a decrease in corrosion resistance is observed due to the increased content of Ag, which is also a major bottleneck in preventing cost reductions.

The purpose of the present invention is to cover such drawbacks by adding Au between the material and the Au-Ni alloy plating.
-An object of the present invention is to provide a gold-plated exterior part that is inexpensive in cost and has good corrosion resistance by applying Ag-Cd alloy plating.

A detailed explanation of the present invention will be given below. The structure of the gold plating applied to the exterior parts of the present invention is to apply an Au-Ag-Cd alloy plating layer as an intermediate plating layer to the surface of a material using nickel silver or brass material, and then finish it. As a metsuki layer
It is coated with an Au-Ni alloy plating layer. In this gold plating structure, the Au-Ag-Zn alloy plating consists of 40 to 55% Ag, 5 to 15% Cd, and the balance gold and unavoidable impurities. this
The characteristic of Au-Ag-Cd alloy plating is that compared to conventional Au-Ag alloy plating, the gold phase can be lowered by about 2 to 3 carats, making it extremely inexpensive. Furthermore, even if Zn is added in an amount that lowers the gold phase, the corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of conventional Au-Ag alloy plating, and the Col compound used in the plating liquid has a silvery white color with a bluish tinge. Therefore, even if the gold phase is lowered, the color tone remains a bluish yellow gold color. Furthermore, Cd is a soft metal and can be plated thicker than Au-Ag-Zn plating. Furthermore, cadmium salts have a higher resistance to the present invention after plating than zinc salts or indium salts.
Au-Ag-Cd alloy plating has an Ag content of 55%
If it exceeds 100%, the color becomes white and corrosion resistance decreases. In addition, if the Ag content is less than 40%,
As a result, the price of gold becomes more expensive, leading to an increase in costs. When the Cd content exceeds 15%, the color becomes white and the corrosion resistance decreases. Furthermore, if the Cd content is less than 5%, most of the content is occupied by Au and Ag, which increases the metal phase and increases costs. Furthermore, since the Ag content also increases, corrosion resistance deteriorates. The Au-Ag-Cd alloy plating of the present invention has a gold phase of K10 to K12, which is different from the conventional one.
It is cheaper in cost than Au-Ag alloy plating. Also, in terms of color tone, due to the low gold phase, it has a bluish yellow gold color similar to conventional Au-Ag alloy plating, which is just Cd metal.

0.25〜5μの範囲が望ましい。
If the thickness of the plating is less than 0.25μ, it will not be effective as an intermediate layer, and if it exceeds 5μ, the cost will increase.
A range of 0.25 to 5μ is desirable.

In addition, when the composition of the Au-Ag-Cd alloy plating of the example was analyzed, it was found to be 43% Au, 46% Ag, and 11% Cd, and the gold phase was 10.3 carat, which was different from the conventional one.
Compared to the 14 carat weight of Au-Ag alloy plating, the weight is about 3.7 carats lower, making it possible to reduce costs by about 15%. Furthermore, the color tone was a yellow gold color with a bluish tinge, which was the same as that of conventional Au-Ag alloy plating. As described above, the Au-Ag-
By using CD-based alloy plating, we will be able to supply low-cost, high-quality gold-plated watch exterior parts.
