However, in this conventional method of assembling a handrail support and guide device, notches must be made at the upper end of the balustrade panel for screw fixing, and there is a risk of damage to the balustrade panel due to over-tightening of the screws, which reduces assembly work efficiency. is extremely bad. Furthermore, a guide frame 3 is installed within the inner periphery of the handrail 7 in a limited space.
In order to construct a handrail support and guide device with excellent design, extremely small screws must be used and handling is difficult.

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of one embodiment of the handrail support and guide device assembled according to the present invention, and 1 in the figure.
1 is a parapet panel made of transparent tempered glass, etc., 12
is made of a thin plate of stainless steel or the like formed to have a first recess covering the upper end of the balustrade panel 11, and second recesses with upward openings on the left and right sides of the first recess. With a frame, balustrade panel 1
The first recess of the frame 12 and the upper edge of the balustrade panel 11 are loosely fitted so that the upper edge of the parapet panel 11 is covered with the buffer material 13 interposed therebetween. Reference numeral 14 denotes a short elastic member having an opening in cross section with one side open and the middle part concave inward.
2 and then fit this member 14 into the second recesses of the frame 12 located on the left and right sides of the balustrade panel 11 by the method described later. Constructed in one piece using insertion force. Due to spring force, this member 14 moves the frame 1 from the left and right in the recessed portion a.
2, the balustrade panel and the frame 12 can be integrally constructed with an appropriate bonding force. 15 directly supports and guides the handrail 7;
For example, guide rails made of synthetic resin or the like are sequentially inserted and attached to both ends of the frame 12.
Reference numeral 17 denotes a gap for reducing contact resistance with the handrail 7, which rotates in synchronization with the step (not shown).

First, the frame 12 is loosely fitted to the upper end of the balustrade panel 11 via the cushioning material 13, and the plate 21 with guides 20, 20' welded to the back side with an interval approximately equal to the width of the member 14 is mounted, and then the left and right A box-shaped holding member 22, 22' with one side open is inserted between both ends of the frame 12 and the plate 21 so that the left and right sides of the frame 12 enter inside, and the plate 21 and the holding member 22, 22' is integrally connected at the front and back with bolts 23, 23', and the tool 2 is assembled.
4. At this time, the tool 24 is
2, and above the frame 12 there is a guide 2.

2' constitutes a space 26 surrounded by. Next, the tool 24, in which the plate 21 and the holding members 22, 22' are integrated, is attached to the rubber 25, 25' attached to the lower inner surface of the holding members 22, 22'. the member 14 into the space 26 created on the frame 12.
After inserting the member 14, the opening side of the member 14 is aligned with the guide 2 by sequentially pushing in the bolts 27 of the push screw mechanism provided at the center of the front and rear of the plate 21.
0 and 20', while the bottom surface of the second recess of the frame 12 is supported by the holding members 22 and 22', and the member 14 is inserted into the second recess of the frame 12 as shown in FIG. It is assembled in. Thereafter, the short member 14 is inserted into the space 26 by sliding the tool 24 one after another, and the member 14 is fitted into the second recess of the frame 12 by the tightening force of the bolt 27, extending over the entire length of the escalator. The parapet panel 11 and frame 12 are combined.
With such an assembly method, the balustrade panel 11 can be easily installed by simply driving the member 14.
There is no risk of damage as there is no impact to the product.

With the configuration and method described above, there is no need to provide a notch for screwing at the top end of the balustrade panel, and even if there is a manufacturing error or molding error in the balustrade panel or frame, it is not necessary to make a cut in the top end of the balustrade panel in advance. After the frame is covered with a cushioning material, the elastic member 14 can be gradually fitted into the second recess of the frame 12 by the tightening force of the bolt while maintaining an appropriate relative positional relationship between the elastic member 14 and the frame 12. Panels and frames easily,
In addition, since the structure can be reliably integrated, there is no risk of damage due to unnecessary impact being applied to the parapet panels during assembly, and there is no possibility that the cushioning material will protrude and impair the design. Furthermore, in the present invention, the balustrade panel and the frame are removably connected by an elastic member, so that the balustrade panel can be replaced extremely easily.
