圧着されることによりブレーキ力または伝達動力
を発生させる伝達手段が固定体と駆動軸体との間
に具備され、この伝達手段には上記摩擦板と摩擦
相手板とを圧着させるピストンが配置され、この
ピストンは圧縮ばねにより上記伝達手段に押付け
られているとともに、流体圧により伝達手段から
後退するように構成されている動力伝達装置にお
いて、固定体の内周面と駆動軸体の外周面とのい
ずれか一方により摩擦板が、他方により摩擦相手
板がそれぞれ軸方向にのみ移動可能に保持され、
摩擦板同士または摩擦相手板同士のいずれか一方
の間にばね手段が介在され、このばね手段は、そ
の摩擦板または摩擦相手板が保持されている側の
周囲であつて、摩擦板と摩擦相手板とが互いに接
触することのない部分に、周方向に二ケ所以上に
局部的に設けられているとともに、そのばね手段
は上記摩擦板同士または摩擦相手板同士を互いに
離すことができる弾性反発力を有し、かつ摩擦板
と摩擦相手板とを離隔させることができる強さを
