Abstract

PURPOSE:To shield a transformer from electromagnetic wave noises while dissipating heat generated within the transformer, by covering a transformer winding with a heat releasing plate and a presser fitting. CONSTITUTION:A heat releasing plate 1 covers the top portion of a transformer winding 6, while a presser fitting 2 covers the bottom portion of the winding 6 and connected to the ends of the heat releasing plate 1. This construction gives an effect electrically equal to a case in which a single metal belt is wound on the periphery of the winding 6. A space between the top portion of the winding 6 and the heat releasing plate 1 is filled with silicon rubber 7 to provide an increased thermal conductivity. In this manner, the transformer can be shielded from electromagnetic wave noise, and heat generated in the transformer can be dissipated and the possibility that the heat causes short circuit can be decreased.
